Australian Cattle Dogs, Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs, Dalmatians, Bull Terriers of both sizes, Australian Shepherds, Miniature American Shepherds, Border Collies, Old English Sheepdogs, English Setters, just to name a few.
Congenital sensorineural deafness can not be bred out.
Congenital sensorineural deafness is part of the genetic makeup of the breed.
Congenital sensorineural deafness is recognized as a problem in many dog breeds that carry the piebald and merle genes, i.e. those breeds with the white gene in their genetic makeup.
